Good To Know

Questions, Answered

Everything you need for a relaxed, worry free ride through the hinterland. We look after the details so you can simply enjoy the journey.

How does it work?

Choose your date and let us know how many bikes you need, then meet us in Maleny town on the morning of your ride. We fit your helmets, set you up with the digital route map on your phone and walk you through the bikes before you roll out. Ride one route or both, stop wherever you please, and have the bikes back within 8 hours. It is that simple.

How long do I have the bikes?

Up to 8 hours, just return the bikes back at the starting point in Maleny town whenever you are done. Our routes take around 2 to 5 hours at an easy pace, which leaves plenty of time for a long lunch in Maleny or at Mary Cairncross, a picnic at one of the many lookouts, extra stops wherever something catches your eye, or even both routes in a single day. The time is yours.

How fast will we go?

Beautifully unhurried. On footpaths the gentle cruising pace is part of the charm and lets you take in every lookout, café and hidden corner. The motor smooths out the hills so it feels effortless, never rushed. Slow adventure is the whole idea.

How safe is the ride?

Our Signature Route to Mary Cairncross follows footpaths the entire way, so you are never riding in traffic, just crossing the road at a few easy points, while the Lake Baroon Route eases out of town on footpaths before joining quiet country roads beyond Pattemore House. You ride with a helmet, a clear digital map and local support just a call away. It is one of the calmest ways to see Maleny, which is exactly why we built the experience this way.

What if the weather turns?

Our Weather Guarantee keeps it simple. If conditions are unsafe to ride, think lightning, severe weather warnings or sustained heavy rain, we call it off by 7am on the day and you choose a full refund or a free reschedule to any date within the next 12 months. If you simply do not like the look of the forecast, you can move your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before you start. A little hinterland mist does not count, that is part of the magic, and the bikes handle it beautifully.

Are your eBikes road legal in Queensland?

Yes. Our bikes are pedal assist, with a 250 watt motor that gently helps up to 25 km/h, exactly within Queensland's eBike standards. Helmets are always included. We keep the fleet maintained and compliant so you never have to think about the rules, you just ride.

Do I need a licence to ride?

From 31 August 2026, Queensland asks riders to be 16 or over and to carry a valid licence. A learner permit, or an interstate or overseas licence, is perfectly fine. Most of our guests already have one, so simply bring it along on the day.

Are helmets provided?

Always. A properly fitted helmet comes with every bike, along with a lock, phone mount, repair kit and local support. It is all part of the ride, included at no extra cost.

What is included?

Everything you need for the day: a premium pedal-assist eBike with a basket for your finds, a properly fitted helmet, a lock, a phone mount, a repair kit, our curated digital route map and local support just a call away. You bring the sense of adventure, we look after the rest.

Can children or families ride?

Riders need to be 16 or over, so our rides suit families with teenagers rather than younger children. If you are planning a family or group outing we are happy to help you put together the right ride for everyone. Just get in touch and we will sort the details.
